For face to face meetings--due to the tough nature of DC traffic--we recommend the Maryland or Northern Virginia suburbs instead of DC.

I am flying into the DC area and would like to meet face-to-face. Which airport do you recommend?

We are located closest to Dulles Airport, which is airport code IAD, plus we think Dulles Airport has the best parking and the most convenience.

There are two other DC airports, Ronald Reagan (DCA) and Thurgood Marshall Baltimore Washington International (BWI).

Do I have to work with GCS staff members face-to-face or can we work together over the Internet and phone?

Often GCS staff members can help you sooner and faster if we work together over the telephone, Internet and fax, but we can also meet you face-to-face if you are in the Washington, DC area.

Sometimes our 8(a) specialists travel to other locations as well. We will tweet about our availability in other places.

What is the GCS date of incorporation?

We were formally incorporated in Virginia in 2008; however, to avoid confusion we want to mention that our specialists have been working on 8(a) applications, 8(a) narratives, and 8(a) contracts as far back as the 1980s!

All our staff members have 10+ years of experience in regards to their respective skills and capabilities—there are no novices or “newbies” here.

How big is GCS?

GCS is less than 10 employees--so we are a small business, just like you!

GCS is veteran owned--but which branch of service?

Our majority stockholder is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Most of his Marine Corps work involved aviation electronics and engineering…and we can’t tell you about the rest (wink).

Is GCS 8(a) certified?

No. Our customers are small businesses—not the federal government itself—so we don’t need to have 8(a) certification ourselves.

We should mention that multiple GCS staff members, however, have served as employees, program managers, and sales representatives for different 8(a) companies.

Are there any minority staff members at GCS?

Yes. One of our owners is a Hispanic American woman, for example.

Have any GCS staff members ever worked at an 8(a) company before?

Yes. Our specialists have worked for different 8(a) companies in defense and information technology.

Does GCS outsource anything?

No. We self-perform all work in-house.

Can I work for GCS?

Does GCS belong to any industry trade groups?

We are a proud member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, one of the most dynamic and exciting chambers in America.
